WebbIts long history started in around 900 AD, until the Spanish Colonial Era from the 15th century, up to the 1898 Spanish-American war, the revolutionary and constabulary navy, the small OPV that fought a maritime guerilla war until 1945, and the cold war Philippine Navy created from scratch after the “second independence” in 1946.
